If you plan to buy some tailored clothing whilst in Chiang Mai, think first about helping out your new Thai friends.

It is almost guaranteed that whilst in Chiang Mai you will have met someone nice, eg a Tour Agency. If you have not found someone you like, then you are using the wrong agency.

It is not a secret that agents receive commission from referals. But don't think that by going to the tailor direct you will get your new suit for less. It doesn't work that way

Ask you new friend to recommend a tailor and let them know you plan going there, and help you friend out with a little more cash that month.
