Chiang Mai Travel Guide - Temples

As you have probably read from your copy of Lonely Planet, there are 4 main temples in Chiang Mai worth visiting.

Doi Suthep is the number 1 temple on top of Doi Suthep mountain. To get there, you can either arrange a tour or the cheaper way is to get a red taxi to the Chiang Mai Zoo, then take a further Red taxi up the mountain. Approximately 80 baht each way.

Wat Phrasingh, Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Chiang Mai are the main temples in Chiang Mai. There is another one called Wat Jed Yod which is apparently worth seeing just outside Chiang Mai.
