Mae Hong Son Travel Guide - Pai

I am not that fond of Pai.  I have visited Pai on several occasions but have never really warmed to the town. There are two many dirty hippy type tourists there, who don’t wash.  Pai (bye) is one of those places tourists go to laze about and do absolutely nothing for a month or five.  It's not my sort of place but it does appeal to some people.

The accommodation is quite expensive, you can find a bamboo hut for 850 baht per night.  Remember your mosquito spray as most of the accommodation is beside the river.  It can also be quite cold in the Winter.
