Three day trip to Chiang Rai - road back to Chiang Mai

You have the option to take the fast road or the slow road back to Chiang Mai. I took the slow road!

Heading down Route 1 towards Pak Sak take:

Route 118 to Mae Suai

Route 118 to Wiang Pa Pao

Route 1150 to Phrao.

Once in Phrao find the Junction and head north to Wat Doi Nang Lae, its quite easy to find. This little visited temple is very unusual and well worth an hour of your time.

Route 1001 back to Chiang Mai.
