Ayuthaya

I travelled to Ayuthaya by bus from Bangkok.  I don’t know the name of the bus station but it is not for from the old Don Muang Airport.  A taxi will take you to the Bus Station from the Hotel De Moc for 90 baht. 

The bus ride on the Government air con bus to Ayuthaya takes one and a half hours, and costs 50 Baht.

On arrival to Ayuthaya, the bus will stop in Central Ayuthaya at the Bus Station on Th Naresuan (Choa Phrom) Road (not the main bus terminal). There are a couple of Tuk Tuk’s beside the Bus Station. 

Use the Tuk Tuk’s, don’t use any private cars that may be sitting there.
