Flying to Yangon with Air Mandalay involves flying via Heho!

On arrival at Yangon International Airport, don’t be surprised when leaving the plane if a squad of baggage handlers fight for your baggage check/ticket.  Once you are in arrivals your baggage handler will meet you there with your bag and take you and the bag to your taxi(don’t forget your tip). 

A taxi into central Yangon (30 minutes) will cost 6000-7000 kyats. Don’t expect a nice new taxi, you will probably be sitting in a 20 year old Toyota.
