Sundays are a quiet day in Vientiane.

If you are unlucky enough to arrive in Vientiane on a Sunday, you will see that the temples are closed (expect 3 big ones), travel agents are closed, most of the mini marts are closed and the exchange offices are closed.

But all is not lost! The tourist shops do open later in the afternoon.
