Beng Mealea and the Rolous Group of Temples can be visited on the same day as long as you leave Siem Reap around 8.00am. $35 by Tuk Tuk.

Beng Mealea ($5 to enter) is approximately 80km or 3 hours by Tuk Tuk from Siem Reap, the road is very good therefore a Tuk Tuk is fine.

Firstly you will visit Lolei (Angkor Pass to visit here) temple which is home to a small group of monks who mix with locals. On the way to Beng Mealea you will pass through many local villages which are far more interesting than the temples. Stop off on the way and buy something to eat or drink, don't worry the locals won't rip you off like the tourist areas do!

Beng Mealea is a beautiful temple taken over by the Jungle. Be prepared to climb your way through it. On the way back, not far from Siem Reap, go in past Bakong temple, you will need your Angkor Pass to get in here.
