Kbal Spean - Siem Reap

Leaving at 7.00am I went by Tuk Tuk to Kbal Spean.

The road for the most part was quite good but closer to Kbal Spean, just after Banteay Srei, the road started to deteriorate to the point where we had to leave the Tuk Tuk and jump on the back of the motorbike!

Kbal Spean is home to the Lingas. The Lingas are carvings made into the river bed high up on the mountain. The purpose of the Lingas were to bless the water from the mountains before it reached Angkor. It takes approximately 30 minutes to walk the 1.5 km up the mountain to the river bed and waterfall. Well worth the trip.
