Siem Reap is teeming with beggars. I don’t agree with begging as it just encourages more begging and they also seem a bit too organised to me.

A lot of the ex beggars have got themselves a job selling copies of lonely planet, postcards and other Khmer related books. You can pick up a copy of these books for between $2 to $4 US dollars.
