Accommodation - Siem Reap

I stayed in a guest house called Earthwalkers, run by a bunch of Norwegians/Swedish. The Guesthouse was average and the food was really good, however I found the staff were friendly to the point it didn’t seem genuine (even my Thai friend thought the same), everytime you went out or came back it was “where are you going’, ‘where have you been’ etc.

The guest house was also quite far from the centre of town, you had to get a Tuk Tuk every day to the 'Old Market' at $1 each way. However this was low season, in high season it may cost you $2 each way.

My room was $14 per night with air con, no fridge and no TV. There are better guesthouses available in Siam Reap for the same price or less with a fridge and tv. If you don’t like arriving without somewhere to stay book for 2 nights and have a look around.
